As of the 18th of this month, this account will no longer support the paid account features it enjoyed over the few years it was running. Although I won't be deleting this account, it will become a Basic free account. Some posts may disappear completely and the layout may also revert back to a default. I will no longer be posting here as my new permanent account suits me fine for this stage in my life. If you wanted to copy anything or delete anything in comments, feel free, I'll not be offended. Anybody wanting the code for my layout, which you can tailor to your own specs very easily, has the next couple of days to contact me and get those details. If you haven't already let me know that you want to come with me over to the continuing account, please do so in comments here as the poll making option will no doubt disappear too and take the running poll posts with it. I've already thanked everyone for their kindness and consideration over the last few years, that they've afforded lucifein safe harbour on their friends lists, so I'll just bid everyone fair sailing and farewell.

This journal has been closed for now, if not for good. The post I made previous to this has a poll for anyone and especially now, any stragglers to let me know if they would like to join me in a more intimate journal. I check that poll regularly. I'd appreciate your involvement. At some point, if I decide to completely abandon this journal, I'll fix a fancy banner here and make every entry Private. 'Til then, Ars ok fridar and thanks for all the fish. And thank you to all those who participated in whatever capacity, that helped this journal survive as long as it did and for all the lessons I gleaned from owning it and passing the years with you.

subject: poll - Dear Journal |
For some time, my posting here has caused me strife, external and internal. It's got to the point that I have 15 different custom groups to accomodate the countless leagues in difference between my many friends here. This is tiring, needless and frustrating, making it often times difficult to keep this journal my own. There is a certain amount of façade needed to keep everyone happy and ticking along. It's bogging me down. Below is a poll pertaining to a possible solution. Please fill it in. No-one else can see your answers but me. I have also made the comments in this post screened, in case anyone needed some clarification or to ask a question. Thank you in advance.
Poll #995960 How now, friesian cow?
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: None, participants: 36If I were to create a journal that was more... intimate, personal and in-depth, would you care to join me there?
Update: 3rd June '07
15 of the 18 that wanted to join me, so far, have been added. I'd have to think about the other 3. They're either completely new to me or on friendlier terms with my husband which may mean I could not speak freely about my home life, in the journal.
Update: 4th June '07
3 more folks added to the new journal.
I was thinking, I shouldn't bother to post again here to let people know thaey'd been added, or just in case some of you had missed this post entirely. But frankly, if you hadn't noticed you'd been added by someone new or you haven't given this post the time of day, that's pretty much my answer, right there. >:)
I'll check back periodically to see if there are any straglers who were out of town etc. but it would be more advantageous from this point on, if anyone not already requesting to be added, post a comment to alert me, seeing as the poll doesn't send notifications of new tickees. Thanks. x
Update: 9th June '07
6 more into the new journal, plummet.
Update: 11th June '07
Another 3 old friends on the new journal.
Update: 26th june '07
Well there's a rather healthy 40+ folks added over on the new LJ. Most of those added have realised and added me in return. One or two folks still not knowing as they don't seem to check their journal or their friend of list too often. But as it seemed that maybe 40 or so of you were constants in this journal, it's fitting that those few have come with me.
Also Congratulations to both lucy_pointycat and rhandolph on their recent marriage. All the luck and love in the world to you both. xxx |

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't posted as often as I normally do, over the last three days. It's alright. It's nothing you've said. It's just that with Frank's passing, I was struck harder than I thought I would be. Enough sadness to leave me unable to celebrate Fallon's birthday with her on monday, which would be the day I returned from Hellywood and found out he had gone. So I appologise to chied for not being my bouncy self. I heard nothing from you guys about an LN this evening, so I'm gathering that you might be either partied out or as skint cash-wise, as we are until payday. I will try to make up for this somehow. I did try to buy you a birthday present the week before, but you weren't very compliant >:P Hehheheh.
In this post I also want to send my love to Lauren and all of Frank's friends and family at this time once again and tell you all, that although I wish I could be in Philly tomorrow for his funeral, unfortunately, finances wont allow it. All my best wishes to you all.
Normal service will be resumed shortly. |

I will miss you 'Borgy'.
I wear your Officer's patch with pride.
Your music will always be in my heart and in my car, so will travel with me, to all the places you wanted to go.
Thank you for being there when I needed a friend. Thank you for giving me this track at the right time:
And When Winter Comes Around You'll Need Your Winter Shoes. But If Winter's Still About To Get Too Cold For You, You'll Need Someone To Keep You Warm...
Someone To Help You Through The Storm... Someone Who's Good... Doing No Harm... ...And He'll Say...
...I Care For You...I'm There... ...I'm There For You... I Care...
And When The Time Is Right You'll Wear Your Wedding Shoes. And If This Life Still Seems To Be Not Quite Enough For You, You'll Find Someone To Help You Out... Someone To Miss And Dream About That Being In Love... Is Doing No Harm... ...And He'll Say...
...I Care For You...I'm There ...I'm There For You... I Care...
.·:*¨`*:·..·:*¨`*:·..·:*¨`*:·.
All my love to Lauren. Condolences to his family and friends, those I've met and those I never had the chance to. |
